Blast Spirit Championships (Winter Blast) was created in 2009 out of necessity for the GWHS Cheerleaders to compete before the Colorado State Spirit Championship. An established competition unfortunately canceled one week prior to their event leaving the team without a place to get great feed back before they competed at the State level. In two weeks time director Brodie Subia along with Tammy Parker threw together a competition with 12 teams joining us for our 1st ever event. The response from the parents, coaches and athletes provided the incentive to again offer this championship the next year in 2010. We were shocked at the growth we had made in one year due to word of mouth, 34 teams/performances graced the floor at Greeley West High School ranging from high school 2a-5a and all star cheer. Since this success, we have grown into a full fledged company with 2 events currently available in Colorado.
